Will Walker, MA (Covenant Seminary), is the lead pastor and church planter of Providence Church in Austin, TX. He is the coauthor of The Gospel-Centered Life, The Gospel-Centered Community, and The Gospel-Centered Life for Teens. Will and his wife Debbie have two children. Â Kendal Haug, MA (Dallas Theological Seminary), is one of the founding pastors of Providence Church in Austin, TX. He leads the church in liturgical formation and direction, and he oversees the community of musicians that make up Providence Music. Kendal and his wife Ashley have two daughters, Ruby and Frances.

This is the very best Lenten devotional I have studied. Be sure to read the Foreword and Introduction before you begin for it helps you understand how to use the book as a devotional for spiritual growth. The daily format of a Call to Worship-Confession- Gospel reading-Prayer- then the didactic Daily Devotion with the follow up questions for Reflection have been perfect for me to grow in this Spirit led journey. I Praise God for leading me to this study that I could grow closer to Him in faith and understanding. It has helped me transform my walk with Christ.
This product was purchased for daughter at the beginning of Lent. She enjoyed the reading.
Walker & Haug have crafted a wise and winsome path for the reader to walk through Lent. My experience of Lent in an earlier season of life was not all that nourishing. Rules for tradition's sake just seemed like death to me. This is completely different; this is gospel grace beckoning me to come to Jesus, that sin in me might be killed and that His Spirit might live more fully in me.
I purchased this book after it was suggested by my church to read during Lent.
This is a great resource for believers to use to travel through the season of Lent in a gospel-centered way. Well done, not overwhelming, and super usable to help focus on Christ leading up to Easter.
This was a wonderful devotional and wonderful preparation for Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. I highly recommend this book for the Easter season or as a devotional any time of the year.
Enjoyed the daily rhythm this book provides for the season of Lent.
